It's been about a year and two months since I last posted in my journal, gasp!
So here's an update on how things have gone--
I did a few photoshoots, but I think I like being in front of the camera better, when it comes to people.
I have gotten some recognition in my school for bringing my dslr to school and NOT being in yearbook, and now I get to work on yearbook as a senior! It'll be a tough job, but I'm determined to do my best!
However, my dslr is currently dead. :c My poor pentax started displaying an "sd card locked" screen, and even after I unlocked it refused to take photos, so for all intents and purposes is dead to me right now. So much crying over that. (╯︵╰,)
I'm going to be a high school senior now, school starts in 2 weeks.. I'm so excited and nervous, because now I have to start worrying about jobs and college and moving out and grown up things. Actually... I worried about that before, but now it's for real. *stress*
My con circuit will be limited this year then, as I focus on school and learning aerial silks (one class a week!). Aerial silks is an aerial based circus art, where you climb the two pieces of a hanging piece of fabric, usually around 20 feet high, and using sheer body power perform acrobatic tricks. I've already learned basic footholds and how to climb, so I'll be able to start getting higher than 5 feet off the ground in my next classes, haha. My cons this year will hopefully be Holiday Matsuri, if I get accepted as a maid (but I don't have time/money for fabric to make my own outfit from scratch, so I'll be buying it if I get enough money up soon, I hate borrowing money from my parents!).
So if you go to Matsuri in Orlando, you might see me in the maid cafe this year. (∩▂∩) And Megacon for the rave/Saturday!
I've decided to not worry about fitting into different subcultures, and pursue both of my completely contrasting interests in pinup modeling and becoming a Suicide Girl; as well as my complete love for kawaii lifestyle and sweet lolita/mahou shoujo/fairy kei style.
So soon I'll start trying to collect wigs, and build up my loli wardrobe and buy and make all these different outfits I have planned.
